At BDHT we see being online as a crucial part of everyday life, as without access you can be unable to access information and services that are essential. Including: benefits, healthcare, education, employment, the list is endless.

We run a variety of sessions across the whole of Bromsgrove to try and upskill our residents and the community to be able to be digitally independent. From drop ins, 1-2-1’s and group classes for complete beginners to advanced learners. These activities, take place in locations across the district, so everyone has the same opportunity of accessing our help regardless of what part of Bromsgrove you live within. We provide free internet and computer access from both BDHT offices and our Community Centre on Humphrey Avenue in Charford. Three of our Sheltered Schemes also provide access for residents living within the scheme.

In the last two years (up until April 2018) we have helped 2938 individuals through group learning and 1-2-1 sessions, we have provided access to 1457 group sessions and talked to 1132 people at local community events. We currently have five active Digital Champions, and they have helped 332 individuals and provided voluntary support for 404 hours in the last 12 months.

Here is a photo of one of our recent classes at Starlight Community Centre in Charford. These learners completed an 8 week First Steps IT Course.
